Since its foundation in 1993 by Sally Greene and Lord Attenborough, Old Vic Productions PLC has risen to become one of the leading theatre production companies in the world, receiving extensive critical acclaim, winning numerous awards, and producing some of the most successful productions in recent history.

To date, the company has been involved in over 75 productions in the West End and on Broadway. Its array of smash hit productions include the internationally successful Billy Elliot the Musical, The Vagina Monologues, and Trevor Nunn’s Hamlet and Macbeth, both starring Sean Bean.

2007 was another landmark new year with the appointment of Barclays PLC President and CEO of Investment Banking and Investment Management, Bob Diamond as Chairman of Old Vic Productions. Bob’s extensive commercial credentials are ideally suited to drive the business internationally. In December 2007 Billy Elliot the Musical opened at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney proving an instant hit.

Old Vic Productions is proud to announce that preparations are currently underway for the USA premiere of Billy Elliot the Musical on New York’s Broadway later in 2008.

Robert Bourne is a Director of Old Vic Productions. Other past and present board members have included Lord Attenborough, Stephen Daldry, Dame Judi Dench, and Bruce Walker.
