Charles has been at Bourne Capital since 2001 as Group Finance Director.  Since his appointment, he has successfully overseen a significant period of growth for the Group.  His focus is on the development of the estates and businesses coupled with their structured funding.

Charles trained at Peat Marwick Mitchell, now KPMG, and progressed rapidly through management roles at Calor and Unigate.  He then joined a private entrepreneurial automotive group where he became Finance Director and subsequently Joint Managing Director, helping to achieve a successful plc flotation.  He has carried out many multi-site assignments as a main board interim manager, primarily in the automotive and property sectors, over the 15 years prior to joining Bourne Capital.

Paul Dickinson

Consulting Partner, Internal Auditor

Paul joined Bourne Capital’s Leisure Division in 2007 as an internal Auditor. Previously he held a similar position with Novus Leisure who own the Tiger Tiger and Sugar Reef bar chains, where he was also in charge of drinks purchasing. Paul has had considerable experience in the leisure industry for over 20 years working as both an operator and internal Auditor. He is responsible for implementing systems to maximize the margins of Bourne Capital’s Leisure Division.

Christine Sullivan

Consulting Partner, Human Resources

Christine is Managing Partner of Transition, an independent HR consultancy group and provides HR support to Bourne Capital. She has 25 years of corporate HR experience across a wide range of sectors and she fulfils an integral role within the Bourne Capital management team advising on HR strategy and providing practical guidance and support to line management on a range of employee relations issues. She manages recruitment activities and ensures comprehensive training and development programs are provided for all staff. Prior to establishing Transition in 1999, she was HR Director of First Leisure Corporation.

David Devaney

Consulting Partner, Queensway Ice & Bowl

David joined Bourne Capital in 1997 as an Operations Director for Bourne Leisure, responsible for three branded restaurants in Chelsea and Waterloo. From 1998 to 2001 he rose to become Operations Director responsible for the running and expansion of Queens Ice & Bowl before being made Managing Director of Leisurebox and Firstbowl, the companies responsible for operating Queens Ice & Bowl. Previously to working for Bourne Capital David worked as a General Manager at Kunic plc, running multi-faceted leisure complexes in Leeds and Huddersfield.

David Allen

Consulting Partner, Health and Safety

David Allen is a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. An EC registered Incorporated Engineer with over 30 years experience of plant engineering and building services, David has been providing H&S management support systems for Bourne Capital group of companies since 2006. The company Directors are all fully aware of the H&S statutory obligations and own their responsibilities, and line managers are trained in the company arrangements and manage H&S in their buildings with David’s support and guidance.

A former journalist, Robert is Managing Director of specialist Public Relations Agency Davies Tanner, a PR Week top 100 agency specialising in the area of Travel, Leisure and Business Tourism.  Their talented team of marketing and brand professionals advise and help to coordinate marketing and PR strategies for Bourne Capital’s leisure businesses.  Robert is an advisor to several industry groups including ISES UK, ICCA UK & Ireland and the Meetings Industry Association. He is also Chair of the PRCA Travel & Tourism Group and a member of the Events 2012 Development Group working alongside Visit London, Visit Britain and LOCOG.
